About Isofam Company
Established in 1983 in Tehran, Isofam Company began its journey in the production of innovative building materials. Leveraging a strong background in sourcing premium raw materials for the wood industry, the company expanded strategically and launched its first production facility for melamine-faced MDF and particleboard in Shamsabad Industrial Park.
With a commitment to exceptional product quality and continuous improvement, Isofam rapidly grew its market presence and added a second production line — tripling its manufacturing capacity. Today, Isofam proudly holds two national Iranian standard certifications for its melamine-faced MDF and particleboard products.
Driven by customer trust and rising demand, the company has successfully executed its major expansion plan on a site of more than 110,000 m², including 60,000 m² dedicated to state-of-the-art production and storage facilities. Isofam remains committed to delivering reliable, high-quality engineered wood products that support modern construction and interior design solutions across the region.

By earning multiple awards and international certifications, we have proven our dedication to continuous progress and excellence.
At Isofam, we are deeply committed to environmental sustainability, especially the preservation of our nation’s precious forests. Acknowledging the climate challenges our country faces, we prioritize responsible production methods and source the majority of our raw materials from outside Iran. By importing “virtual wood” and “virtual water,” we significantly reduce pressure on domestic natural resources and uphold our environmental pledge.
We strongly believe that protecting the environment is not only part of our mission — it is our foremost social responsibility.

Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made from wood fibers. It is a type of fibreboard created using a dry process. The density of MDF typically falls between 650 and 800 kilograms per cubic meter.

After the boards are manufactured, they can be laminated. These decorative laminates improve the material’s appearance and increase its durability, making it suitable for practical applications in places like kitchens. The most common laminate used is melamine. To apply it, a patterned paper is saturated with adhesive and pressed onto the board with heat and pressure.

This product shares properties with other wood-based boards but also has some superior characteristics that have advanced its market position relative to other wood composites like particleboard, plywood, and hardboard. This MDF product was first introduced as a substitute for other wood-based boards, and was later also used in applications where it could replace solid wood. Its range of uses is now increasing day by day.
The diverse applications of MDF are a direct result of its notable properties. These include:

C1: The edges of the nylon moisture barrier must overlap by at least 20 cm and then be covered with wide tape.
C2: Before you install the flooring, a foam underlayment layer at least 2 mm thick should be unrolled over the nylon layer.
C3: The first row of flooring should be laid out so that it’s at least 20 cm from the side wall and 5 cm from the end wall, as shown in the diagrams in steps C3-1-3. It is also recommended that you install the planks lengthwise, in the direction of the sunlight coming from the window. Installation should begin in the left corner of the room.
C4: Before you start the installation, you must choose a corner of the room that has a perfect right angle. When you lay down the first row, the plank’s edge that goes against the wall must be trimmed, with the tongue facing the wall and the groove facing inward toward the room.
C5: Laminate flooring expands and contracts due to changes in humidity and temperature. To account for this, it is recommended that you leave a gap of 8 to 10 mm between the first and last rows of flooring and the walls. This allows the planks to move without warping or buckling.
C6: Install the second and subsequent rows as shown in Figures C6-1-4, first along the long side and then the short side. To ensure a complete connection, lift the new row at about a 30-degree angle, place its edge into the groove of the previous row, and gently tap it down to secure it.
C7: Flooring must be installed up to the door frames. For large floor areas over 12 square meters and for laminate pieces longer than 8 square meters—especially in hallways—use specific transition profiles as shown in the figure and with the specified measurements.
C8: If you encounter stairs or pipes, follow the instructions in Figure C8-1-4. After cutting the pieces to fit, glue them down.
C9: When you can’t cut the door frame to fit the flooring, first measure and cut the flooring piece precisely. Once the flooring is installed, fill any gaps with a suitable filler.
C10: If the door frame is wood, it’s best to cut the bottom of the frame to the thickness of the flooring. Then, install the flooring and fill any remaining gaps with a suitable filler once you’re done.
C11: After you have finished covering the entire floor, remove the spacers and install the baseboards. Do not glue the baseboards to the floor itself (Figure C-11-1-2).

Laminate flooring is known for its durability and hygienic qualities, requiring very little maintenance due to the unique properties of its materials. The surface of this type of flooring is highly resistant to wear and abrasion and effectively minimizes dust and dirt, creating a clean and comfortable environment. To ensure the longevity of your laminate floors, please observe the following guidelines:
D1: To protect the surface, avoid walking on it with shoes. If you must wear shoes indoors, please ensure the soles are clean.
D2: Always lift heavy items when moving them. Do not drag them across the floor, as this can cause scratches or other damage.
D3: Place soft pads or felt protectors on the legs of chairs and other furniture to prevent scratches and surface damage over time.
D4: If you use a wheeled chair, make sure its casters are made of a soft plastic to avoid scratching the floor.
D5: If you spill any liquids, you must clean them up and dry the area within 15 minutes.
D6: For regular cleaning, you should use a vacuum with a brush attachment.
D7: To help your floors last longer, use cleaning products specifically designed for laminate flooring.
D8: Only use a damp cloth to clean the surface.
D9: Never use a steam cleaner on your laminate floors.
D10: You should also never use strong detergents or harsh cleaners.
D11: It is not necessary, or recommended, to use waxes, polishes, or finishing oils on the floor.
In the laminate flooring industry, all well-regarded companies worldwide that use HDF cores and overlay layers produce products that are resistant to scratching. Likewise, Isofam uses these same materials—HDF and an overlay layer. Hence, its products share this key advantage.
Isofam is committed to its mission, which is consistent with its strategy for long-term environmental protection, particularly of the country’s valuable forests. With a thorough understanding of our beloved country’s climatic limitations, the company manufactures its products using innovative methods based on the procurement of raw materials from abroad. This practice is regarded as the import of virtual water and wood into the country. Isofam consistently regards environmental protection as its primary social responsibility.
